Vinnie on Music Video

So I have DirecTV at home and have VH1 Classic which is really cool. I JUST saw an old music video and Vinnie was on it!!! Along with Michael Landau on guitar. It was "Street Light" by Joni Mitchell.

Anybody ever see this music video?? I wish I was able to tape it.

I would guess that it is from a live concert video entitled "Refuge of the Road." It was filmed during that tour in 83'. Vinnie,Michael Landau,Russel Ferrante and Larry Kline....absolutely incredible playing on this one. I heard that it might be released on DVD..I have this on video and I can't even watch it anymore because the quality is so poor from being viewed a million times. They do a version of "God Must be a Boogieman" and Vinnie gets a chance to blow. His left hand is nothing short of amazing. Great video....if it is released to DVD..this one is a must have!!!

yeah that video is one of my favorites. all those shots of horses running around is kinda weird but other than that, it's great. vinnie just totally lets loose on this one. he had some tasty double bass stuff back then too. there's also some candid footage of vinnie acting real strange but it's pretty funny. i agree, this is a must have.

Actually, this one wasn't live, but in a stage studio setting. All of the footage is just of the band and Joni.

Thanks for the info about the live show though. Never knew about it. I have the other Joni live DVD with Jaco on bass and it's great.
